I have a background in marine science and biology and have obtained my PhD in the field of applied environmental science in 2017. Using laboratory experiments, chemical analyses and data analyses, my focus has been on understanding what happens with hydrophobic organic chemicals in the environment. Where do they come from, where do they end up and which chemicals are of potential concern to us or to the environment?
As a researcher at the Baltic Eye, I have mostly worked on data analysis and the interface between research and policy. Issues that I have worked with include: Chemicals in consumer articles, marine litter / plastic in the environment and chemicals in sludge.
